I'm a freelance artist. I draw , paint and photograph the figure.

My goal is to create a visual language for the figure that is surprising to me and expressive of otherness.

I define myself as a figurative draftsperson and painter. The prime source of creativity of all my art is the sympathetic nature of the viewer and poetry of the figure. The figure gives life to the art and human meaning to the viewer.

This takes my mark making out of realms of merely representing the body in a photo realist way, into a rhythmic re invention of abstract responses.

Since 1984, I have been working as an artist and mother. This has enabled me to produce a body of figurative work mainly drawn in the studio in a life drawing situation .

My most recent art draws its inspiration from notions of internal landscapes inspired by jazz and voice production singing being my other love.
